  The Pavilion on Bachelors Field was rarely used..... Apart from Village day and occasional football and stool ball matches it stayed unused for most of the year. Geographically the pavilion is in the heart of Bolney village, positioned next to the playground and within safe walking distance for young and old alike. The Bolney ComMunity Cafe Society was formed to see if the residents of Bolney Parish would support the idea of using the pavilion permanently as a community centre. It would be used for villagers to meet and catch up with the gossip, read the newspapers, swap books, and find out what events are happening in and around the village. The cafe is a stylish comfortable meeting place for the whole community to enjoy. fresh homemade cakes, snacks, ice creams, homemade hot lunches and freshly filled baguettes are served throughout the day. This project has been made possible by the kind donations and support from the parish council, residents and companies in the parish. The Cafe Pavilion opened on wednesday the 3rd of august 2011. The support received has been overwhelming and exceeded all expectations. Being community run, people are invited to buy "shares" in the project which helps fund the running of the cafe. any profits generated are re-invested in the cafe and other village projects. volunteers are always required and welcome to help run the cafe. Please come and support your cafe..............use it or lose it.
